Environmental, Quality, Health and Safety Policy (ISO 9001/14001/45001/e-Stewards: 5.2)

ERI recognizes that the disciplines of environmental, quality, health and safety management are an integral part of its management function. ERI views these as a primary responsibility and to be the key to good business in adopting appropriate environmental, quality, health and safety standards.

ERI’s Environmental, Quality, Health and Safety Policy calls for continual improvement in its environmental, quality, health and safety management activities and business will be conducted according to the following principles:

We will:

  1. Fulfil our compliance obligations, including all applicable laws and regulations and other requirements to which ERI subscribes, including the prevention of transboundary movement of Materials of Concerns (MOCs) Hazardous e- Waste, Problematic Components and Materials, and other e-waste in violation of relevant laws, treaties, agreements, and the e-Stewards Standard which violates laws in countries involved and international and regional treaties, throughout the Recycling Chain.
  2. Follow a concept of continual improvement and make best use of our management resources in all matters of environmental, quality, health and safety matters with the goal to EQH&S performance.
  3. Take due care to ensure that activities cause no avoidable adverse environmental impact and are safe for employees, associates, subcontractors and others who come into contact with our workplace.
  4. Commit to protect the environment, human health and safety, data security and social accountability, including prevention of pollution and prevention of injury and ill health.
  5. Commit to provide safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of injury and ill health, with the commitment to eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks.
  6. Commit to protect workers’ rights to a workplace free from harassment and discrimination, harmful pollutants and hazardous conditions.
  7. Ensure accountability for all Focus and Hazardous e-Waste both onsite and downstream throughout the recycling chain to final disposition.
  8. Manage used and end-of-life electronics equipment based on a “reuse, refurbish, recover, dispose” hierarchy of responsible management strategies, including both on site and throughout the Recycling Chain.
  9. Adopt a forward-looking view on future business decisions that may have environmental, quality, or health and safety impacts.
  10. Train our staff in the needs and responsibilities of environmental, quality, health and safety management and commit to consultation and participation of workers in EQH&S matters.
  11. Prohibition of forced and child labor, and restrictions on use of prison operations and disposal of Hazardous e-Waste Materials of Concerns (MOCs) throughout the Recycling Chain.
  12. Provide a framework for setting and reviewing environmental and stewardship, quality, health, and safety objectives and communicate our performance throughout ERI and interested parties.
